Basic Income is the foundation we all need to tackle poverty, the mental health epidemic and the environmental crisis. It is the fertile ground from which struggling communities and economies can start to regrow. It is the support people need to gain the skills and education to re-engage with society and the future of work, so all four nations of the United Kingdom can flourish together.
We invite you to a briefing session, showcasing how UBI can unlock potential within your constituencies and across the UK.
Speakers:
Presented by Jonny Douglas, Opus Independents
Jo Poulton, BI4Farmers – Farming and Struggling Communities
Elliott Johnson, Northumbria University and BIRG – Physical and Mental Health

“Basic Income doesn’t solve every problem. But it makes every problem easier to solve” ~ Sandhya Anantharaman Now, more than ever, people are crying out for things to be different. Each of us feels the overwhelming pressures of the challenges we face; trapped in endless cycles of firefighting crisis-after-crisis with seemingly no way out!
We are all in this together, and whatever drives your motivation for change, we know nothing meaningful is possible without solid foundations to build from.
Meet and talk with representatives of the different organisations in the Basic Income Movement.
Please feel free to join at any time during the session, for as long as you can make it.
We look forward to seeing you there!
The UBI Lab Network and the Basic Income Movement.
